Sheldon and Lambert split: The prenup made it simple and quick
Love did keep people together, but apparently, not Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. Even though fans expressed themselves on Twitter, both have remained tight-lipped about the reasons behind the couple’s decision to split on social media. The six year love affair and four year marriage was over.
But if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or the sister is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace. (NIV)
Lambert tweeted about her new show only a few hours before the statement of their split was released. And yet TMZ announced earlier yesterday afternoon that a divorce was already granted. Man, that was quick! Thank goodness there weren’t any children to consider. This didn’t dim the pain of it all. According to this article, they had a prenup. Apparently they filed divorce papers two weeks ago. Depending on what state the above documents were filed determined the length of time it took for a divorce. Oklahoma was one state that had a short waiting time.
Both also appeared in a July 4 special this year where they were actually together. They had experienced talk about their marriage having trouble before, but they went through it. Sheldon admitted that marriage was hard, but he allowed his wife access to things like his phone and his computer, proving he had nothing to hide. It was a far cry from the hacking that took place at the Ashley Maddison Affairs website. Those people should be very afraid.
According to the article cited on People, it stated that “this wasn’t the future they envisioned.” They asked fans t respect their privacy and empathized with them during this time.
Chris Rock said in a May 11 interview that there were good and bad days, but he was doing ok after his December 2014 split from Malaak Compton-Rock, he was only an hour away from his three girls so that was good. He also stated that marriage was difficult. His divorce was troublesome because his estranged wife wouldn’t allow him to have seen the children and not in their best interest..
Far be it from me to have enjoyed capitalizing on others pain, the loss of a child, having to declare bankrupcy, or a tragic accident were never taken lightly by me. While my empathy was with Danny Moder and his children. It appalled me that Julia Roberts spoke out about the split at all.To me, it was like adding fuel to a fire. It was even worse when someone in the media got hold of how much the settlement would cost.
At any rate, the split between Sheldon and Lambert looked to have been more amiable than the others listed above.
