As Stage 4 water restrictions loomed, people were urged to pray for rain
As of today, Wichita Falls had a water deficit of 4.57 inches. If the combined lake levels continued to drop below 30%, Stage 4 water restrictions were slated to take effect, which banned all outdoor watering except water collected from tubs and sinks. In January, it was predicted that the county would’ve hit Stage 4 by July. Thanks to the seven plus inches received earlier this year, now the Stage 4 Drought Disaster was slated to hit in mid August.
